Tim Howard mania has taken off in the U.S.
After the USA goalkeeper's stunning 16-save performance during his team's elimination from the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday, the Internet was abuzz with praise for the 35-year-old. But one hashtag trumped all of the others.
"#ThingsTimHowardCouldSave" went viral on Twitter on Wednesday, and users pooled together their best scenarios of what disasters the star goalie could have stopped from happening.
And of course, what could have been had the Boston Red Sox had Tim Howard in 1986.
