During Saturday Night's Keith Urban concert at the Xfinity Center, emergency personnel were called on to treat a high number of people who had become ill, presumably due to alcohol consumption, The Boston Globe reports.
By about 10:30 p.m., at least eight ambulances from the town had transported fans, most of whom appeared to be suffering from alcohol-related issues, Deputy Fire Chief James Puleo said at the scene.
The Globe reported that representatives of venue owner Live Nation could not be reached Saturday night.
A statement provided to NECN reports that out of 18,000 attendees, 50 were arrested and 46 were treated for alcohol-related illnesses. Of those 46, 22 were sent to area hospitals.
